Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhter, however, dismissed such claims. Speaking to Tapmad, the expert stressed the importance surrounding the high emotions, surrounding the epic clash, and confidently stated that the stadium will be packed, despite rumors of low ticket sales.

"Emotions are running very high. Now we (Pakistan) are meeting India for the first time post-war. Think about it, it can not be houseful. Someone said to me that the tickets are unsold. I said, 'What are you saying?'. Everything is sold. These are all the external talks," Akhtar said.

IND vs PAK Asia Cup clash all set to grab the spotlight

Notably, both teams have started their Asia Cup 2025 campaign on a winning note as India thrashed UAE, & Pakistan convincingly beat Oman by 93 runs. Both teams have strong momentum heading into the clash and will be looking to put the first punch. India has dominated Pakistan recently in ICC & Asia Cup events. The last time when these two teams met, India beat Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025 event.
