It’s the clash of the titans. The two top teams of the Champions Trophy 2025, India and New Zealand, will fight it out in the final to decide the ultimate winner. The match will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on March 9 and starts from 2:30 PM IST.
When India and New Zealand locked horns with each other the last time, the Rohit Sharma-led side came out on top, defeating the Black Caps by 44 runs. However, in the final of the 2000 Champions Trophy, New Zealand lifted the title by defeating India.
Marching on an unbeaten run, India cruised into the final with a win over Australia. Chasing 265 runs, the team was helped by their star batter Virat Kohli, whose 84-run knock pushed India over the finish line.
In their semi-final versus South Africa, New Zealand hammered 362 runs, the record-total in the Champions Trophy history. Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson smashed centuries. The Proteas never seemed to be in the run-chase and eventually lost by 50 runs.

The match will be played at the same surface as the India versus Pakistan clash held two weeks before. In that game, the Indian spinners dominated the proceedings.
