New Zealand have posted XXX against India in the ICC Champions Trophy final after winning the toss and opting to bat first. They ended up with a below-par total in the end as the Indian bowlers were on the money for overs 11 to 50.
The Kiwis posted 69/1 in their first 10 overs with Rachin Ravindra (37 off 29) giving them a brisk start with the bat. The Kiwis scored 16 runs off the fourth over followed by 11 runs in the fifth over to give them a good start.
The opening partnership was broken by Varun Chakravarthy who dismissed Will Young (15 of 11 balls). Next, it was Kuldeep Yadav's double strike in the 11th and the 13 over that set back the Kiwis in their innings. Kuldeep first dismissed Rachin Ravindra and then Kane Williamson (11 off 14) to peg back the Kiwis in their innings.

Daryl Mitchell Anchors The Kiwi Innings With Phillips, Bracewell
Round about the 30th over of their innings, New Zealand were 135/4. Daryl Mitchell then played a patient innings. He scored 63 off 101 balls and in the process, added key partnerships first with Glenn Phillips (34 off 52) and then with Michael Bracewell (53* off 40). He first added a 57-run stand with Phillips and then another 46 runs with Bracewell to help the Kiwis get past the 200-run mark.
The Indian spinners were always in the game. From the 10th over till the 40th over, they kept a check on the run-scoring of the Kiwis. There was a period of almost 15 overs in the middle overs. Some later order hitting from Michael Bracewell after Mitchell's dismissal helped the Kiwis get close to 270.
India's Target To Win CT 2025 - 252
For India, it was the spinners who did the job for the team once again. Kuldeep and Varun took two each while Ravindra Jadeja took one. Mohd Shami took the key wicket of Mitchell in the 46th over. His final over yielded 12 runs as New Zealand finished on 251/7 in their 50 overs. India now need to score 252 to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final.
