Mohammed Shami was back at his best in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Bangladesh. Back to international cricket after 14 months, he took the game like duck to water.
Shami opened the bowling for India and showed immense control. His pace was also up and he was getting the ball to move sharply as well. There were a few concerns with Shami's fitness and how he would approach the game, but the Indian pacer looked fully fit throughout.
Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and opted to bat first. It turned out to be a nightmarish decision as Bangladesh lost five wickets inside the first powerplay.
