The date for the India-Pakistan clash in the ICC Women's World Cup is out. Colombo is all set to host the marquee match in the ICC event. As per reports in ESPN Cricinfo, Pakistan will play all their matches in Colombo including the semi-final and the final if they get there.

India are the official hosts of the ,later this year. Australia are the defending champions of the tournament. They kick off their campaign against New Zealand in Indore's Holkar Stadium before taking on Pakistan on October 8 in Colombo. Australia return to Indore to take on England on October 22.

The tournament starts from September 30, with India taking on Sri Lanka as the two Asian giants clash in a pivotal campaign opener. India then play against Pakistan in Colombo on October 5, followed by South Africa in Vizag on October 9, Australia also in Vizag on October 12. Next, they take on England on October 19 in Indore. India play the white Ferns on October 23 in Guwahati, followed by their match against Bangladesh on October 26.

Pakistan To Play Women's World Cup Matches In Colombo

Talking about Pakistan, they kick off their campaign against Bangladesh on October 2 followed by their match against India on October 5. Next, they face England (Oct 15), New Zealand (Oct 18), South Africa (Oct 21) and Sri Lanka (Oct 24), all in Colombo.

The other key fixtures in the ICC event include Australia vs New Zealand in Indore On October 1, England vs South Africa in Bengaluru on October 3, Australia vs England in Indore on October 22, England vs New Zealand in Guwahati on October 26.

The venues for the knockouts are also out. The first semi-final will be played on October 29 in Guwahati or Colombo, based on Pakistan's qualification. The final will be played on November 2, either in Bengaluru or Colombo.

Pakistan, Bangladesh Played The Qualifiers

India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka qualified directly for the tournament. Pakistan and Bangladesh played the qualifiers in Lahore earlier this year. The Women in Green won the qualifiers to advance through to the main event. Meanwhile, Bangladesh narrowly edged West Indies on NRR to qualify for the World Cup.
