India's next ODI assignment will see them take on a three-match ODI series against Australia, starting on October 19. The series has already garnered eyeballs, as it will see the return of the Indian team's two biggest icons - Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma in the 50-over format, the only format where the duo are still actively playing. With still 50 days to go for the bilateral series, the Indian zones to view the three ODIs have already been sold out.

Cricket Australia (CA) said in its official statement that "the dedicated Indian zones for the games at all eight venues have been sold out for the upcoming BKT Tyre's Men's ODI series against India are now officially sold out." read a press release.

Public tickets for Sydney and Canberra games have also been fully booked well in advance, CA added.  India will begin the white-ball tour with three ODIs, followed by five T20Is, with the opening ODI game to be played in Perth on October 19.

"We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to the Indian fan zones selling out across all eight venues," Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager Events & Operations, Cricket Australia, said in a release. "We are excited to see the momentum building around this series and the strong passion fans continue to display for the game. We're looking forward to a vibrant atmosphere in the stands and a world-class contest on the field between two great cricketing nations," he added.

Notably, there are swirling rumors surfacing that this could potentially be the last ODI series for Rohit & Kohli, as the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel is keen to invest in young players.

ODI series v India: Sunday, October 19: Perth Stadium, Perth, (D/N); Thursday, October 23: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, (D/N); Saturday, October 25: SCG, Sydney, (D/N).
