IPL 2025 Match 14 RCB vs GT Highlights Liam Livingstone, Tim David Help Bengaluru Recover to 169/8

In the 14th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finished at 169/8 against Gujarat Titans (GT).

GT won the toss and elected to bowl first against RCB. Bengaluru, coming off two consecutive victories in the season, aimed to capitalize on their strong batting line-up and home advantage in their first home game.

In an innings that saw GT bowlers dominate large parts, RCB's middle and lower-order showed resilience to set a competitive target on a pitch offering more to bowlers than expected.

Mohammed Siraj struck twice in the powerplay, dismissing Devdutt Padikkal (4 off 3) and Phil Salt (14 off 13) in the third and fifth over respectively, while Virat Kohli (7 off 6), fell to Arshad Khan.

Prasidh Krishna dismissed RCB skipper Rajat Patidar, reducing RCB to 42/4 in 6.2 overs. Jitesh Sharma (33 off 21) and Liam Livingstone then steadied the ship, taking the score to 73/4 in 10 overs.

Rahul Tewatia dropped Livingstone's catch off Sai Kishore's bowling in the 11th over near the long-on boundary. The fielding mishap proved too costly as Livingstone eventually ended up being RCB's top-scorer, accumulating 54 off 40 deliveries.

While Livingstone managed to survive, there was no reprieve for Jitesh, who was dismissed by Kishore as Tewatia this time took the catch.

Jos Buttler missed a stump chance in the 14th over bowled by Rashid Khan, giving another lifeline to Livingstone. However, Krunal Pandya (5 off 5) perished soon after as Kishore took a caught and bowled to grab his second wicket in the evening.

It looked as if RCB were staring at a collapse. But, Tim David (32 off 18) flexed his muscles. He took the attack to the GT bowlers. David hammered two fours and a six off Prasidh in the final over of the innings, helping RCB recover, taking them to a fighting score of 169/8.

For GT, Siraj was the pick of the bowlers. He took three scalps and gave away just 19 runs in his spell.
