It would be fair to say Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are like the Pakistan National Team when it comes to unpredictability. In one game, both will perform well and make fans drop their jaws. In another match, they will make you wonder why are you supporting them. SRH's unpredictability was visible when they played horribly against Mumbai Indians (MI) in match 41 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season. Sent into bat first, SRH lost four wickets in the power play and could only score 24 runs. They finished on 143 for the loss eight wickets at the end of 20 overs.
At the same Uppal Stadium last week, SRH made a mockery of 245 run target against Punjab Kings (PBKS), but against MI, SRH top order batters just could not get going. MI opening bowlers Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult were right on the money as they got the ball to swing and induced fall shots from SRH batters.
Travishek - Abhishek Sharma (8), and Travis Head (0) were dismissed early. Number three batter Ishan Kishan (1) strangely walked off when the snicko showed the southpaw had not nicked the ball.

Things would have been even worse for SRH if not for Heinrich Klassen's fighting knock 44-ball 71 runs. Despite wickets falling at one end, Klassen kept attacking and scored boundaries at will. He took a special liking to Vignesh Puther as the youngster was smashed for 15 runs in his only over. However, despite the Proteas batter's attacking innings, SRH finished well below the total they would have liked to post.
Advantage MI as SRH failed to put a big score onboard
With the Uppal Stadium pitch showing no signs of slowing down, MI would be extremely happy to restrict SRH to a below-par score. Depak Chahar was the pick of the bowlers for MI as he finished with figures of (2/13) from his four overs. Boult finished with four wickets.
