Spin basher, spin tormentor, & spinner's boss - Rajat Patidar lived up to that tag by taking on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) spinners Ravindra Jadeja, Noor Ahmad, and Ashwin at Chepauk. The Royal Challengers (RCB) skipper, who had got a reprieve on 17 runs off the bowling of Jadeja, made them pay, by displaying brute force and class. Patidar's knock titled the game in RCB's favor on a typical spin-friendly Chepauk surface.
Walking in at number four, the RCB skipper took the attack to the opposition and made his intentions very clear as he scored a 30-ball 50. With Virat Kohli (31) struggling for timing, the onus was on Patidar to drive the innings forward, after Padikkal's dismissal for a brisk 14-ball 27 runs. Patidar took calculative risks and yet again proved why he is rated so highly as one best players of spin in world cricket.

Apart from Patidar, Jitesh Sharma also chipped in with a useful cameo and enabled RCB to finish on a high on a relatively slow Chepauk surface. For CSK, Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad was the pick of the bowler as he took three wickets for 36 runs.
RCB post a challenging score on the back of Patidar's ultra-positive knock
With a challenging score on board, RCB would be happier of the two teams heading into the dug out. In the last match between CSK vs MI in Chepauk, a target of 150 plus also seemed a bit challenging. RCB have Krunal Pandya, Suyash Sharma, and the part of spin of Livingstone to trouble CSK batters. The chase wont be easy one for the home side.
One interesting fact to note is that, CSK bowlers managed to pull things back in the death overs. Matheesha Pathirana took two wickets of Patidar (51), and Krunal Pandya (0) in the 19th over. However, Tim David's blitz - 8 ball 22 runs enabled RCB post a score of 196.
