Ishan Kishan impressed the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) management with his explosive innings of 64 runs off 23 balls during an intrasquad match, prompting discussions about his batting position in the lineup.

Kishan is back and stronger than ever, hitting sixes with ease in the stadium for his new team, Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was acquired for 11.5 crores at the IPL Mega Auction, and the young wicketkeeper-batter has found a new home with SRH. After joining the SRH camp last week, Kishan trained diligently alongside his new teammates. In the intrasquad match, he opened the batting and quickly reached fifty before being dismissed by Sri Lankan rising star Kamindu Mendis.

Kishan's performance was the standout for SRH in that match, which might lead the management to reconsider his batting position. On paper, SRH has a fantastic team with a strong balance. Since Kishan is known as an opening batter in his IPL career, he may have to bat lower down the order, as the team already features openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma.

However, given Kishan's impressive knock, management may be more inclined to rethink his role. He will likely bat at number 3, complementing the openers, and his role is expected to have more significance this season, as he will be a key player for SRH.

Is this a redemption season for Ishan Kishan? He has been out of the international spotlight for some time after the BCCI terminated his contract. Since then, Kishan has experienced an inconsistent career in the domestic circuit, making it difficult for him to mount a comeback to the Indian team.

However, the strong start he has had with SRH is promising. If he can maintain consistency throughout this season, he certainly has the potential to make a return to the national team. Keep an eye on Ishan Kishan; he is on a roll towards a comeback!
