New Zealand will battle it out with Pakistan in the first of the five-match T20 series on Sunday, March 16 at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. New Zealand are coming off as a runner-up finish in the Champions Trophy, while Pakistan are coming off a shocking group stage exit at home in the tournament. The Men in Green have completely revamped the side for the T20 series as there is no Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in the side.
All-rounder Salman Ali Agha will lead the side, which sees the return of Mohammad Haris and all-rounder Shadab Khan. Meanwhile, New Zealand have named Michael Bracewell as the captain. Seven of the 15-member squad are picked in the T20I series. The rest of the players like Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Santner and Glenn Phillips wont be part of the side due to IPL commitments.

The first T20I between NZ vs PAK will be played at the Christchurch in Hagley Oval. The pitch here is a batting paradise as the batters get value for shots. With short boundaries on either end of the wicket, the bowlers will have to be immaculate with their line and lengths, or else they will be punished.
