Former Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul is in talks with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to replace New Zealand cricketer Andre Adams as the fast bowling coach for the Bangladesh team.Â
Umar Gul confirmed this during an interview with Cricbuzz, stating that discussions regarding the position have taken place, and the BCB approached him with a request. However, he noted that the talks are still in the early stages, and nothing has been finalized yet by either party.

Currently, Andre Adams' contract runs until 2026, but reports suggest that he is not on good terms with the team and that their recent unsatisfactory performances could lead to his departure soon.
Umar Gul brings vast coaching experience, having served as the bowling coach for both Pakistan and Afghanistan. He has also been a part of the coaching staff for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Umar Gul, a former T20 World Cup winner, has been a key bowler for Pakistan in limited-overs cricket, having taken 87 wickets in 60 T20I matches and a total of 427 wickets for the national team. He last played an international match for Pakistan in 2016 against England. Despite his efforts to make a comeback, he announced his retirement in 2020.
