The military conflict between India and Pakistan has forced the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to change the venue for the remainder of the competition to the UAE. However, recent reports suggest that the UAE is not prepared to host the tournament.
The ongoing India-Pakistan conflict has created significant turmoil in Pakistan, particularly following India's drone landing near Rawalpindi Stadium, which led to the suspension of the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans. In response to this situation, PSL initially decided to relocate the matches from Rawalpindi to Karachi and Lahore.

UAE Reluctant to Host PSL as Tensions Escalate
However, as the situation worsened and overseas players expressed their unwillingness to stay in Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made the decision to move the entire tournament to the UAE. Yet, recent reports indicate that the UAE is reluctant to host the tournament due to security concerns.
"Hosting a tournament like the PSL amid such tense circumstances could disrupt harmony, pose security risks, and incite unnecessary friction between communities," a source stated.
It is important to note that this information has not been confirmed yet, as both the PCB and the UAE cricket board plan to meet to discuss the situation. With eight matches remaining in the tournament, the PCB is also considering the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as an alternative venue.
