Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid addressed the ongoing discussions about home advantage this season.
Speaking ahead of the clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Dravid highlighted concerns regarding the curators not providing pitches that favor the home team. Several franchises, including Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, and RCB, have not experienced typical success at home, which raises questions about the situation.

When asked about the issue of home advantage, Dravid noted that it varies from ground to ground. He mentioned,
"I'm not really sure what specific franchises might have wanted from their curators, but generally, this is a scenario where many teams are new after a big auction.”
He used examples of players who are new to their respective teams to illustrate his point.
For example, in the case of say, at RCB, someone like Phil Salt was at KKR and he's coming here for the first time, “I'm just using him as an example. We have players in our team, for example, someone like Nitish Rana (KKR) was not with us and he's playing for us this year, so for him, Jaipur is actually kind of a new ground.
He added that while the transition may be challenging initially, players will eventually adapt and improve their performances. He mentioned that for teams complaining about home advantage this season, the changes in squad dynamics have made it less significant. However, as the season progresses and players gain more familiarity with the conditions, home advantage may become more apparent.
