Rishabh Pant fifty against CSK

All eyes were on Rishabh Pant as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) took on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Ekana Stadium on Monday, April 14. Though LSG lost the contest, Pant found some much-needed form in the game.

Rishabh Pant had scores of 0, 15, 2, and 6 runs respectively heading into the match against Chennai Super Kings. He had to prove a point with the bat after LSG spent a whopping 27 crores to bag him in the auction.

Against CSK, with his team struggling at 23 runs for two wickets, Pant came in and scored his first fifty of the season. The southpaw scored 63 runs off 49 balls and played a major role in his team reaching 166 runs for seven wickets after 20 overs.

However, Pant's fifty was not enough to help his team win as MS Dhoni finally found his finishing touch for CSK and helped them win the match with the bat. Dhoni scored an unbeaten 26 runs off 11 balls, hitting four fours and a six. He added an unbeaten 57-run stand with Shivam Dube (43 runs off 37 balls) to bring CSK back to winning ways after five consecutive losses. MSD was given the Player Of The Match for his unbeaten knock as he became the oldest player in the IPL to win that award.
