It will be a Southern Derby clash as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will battle it out with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) today at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk. Both teams are coming off wins in their respective first matches. CSK beat arch rivals Mumbai Indians (MI), while RCB beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. Whoever wins the CSK vs RCB clash will top the table. However, beating CSK at home is a difficult task. They have a fixed template - to choke opposition with spin.
Also historically the pitch in Chepauk will favor spin, & CSK in this regard holds a slight advantage. RCB though have a lot of quality players of spin like Rajat Patidar, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma in their ranks to counter CSK spinners. But the bigger question remains can RCB breach fortress Chepauk?

In the head-to-head record between these two teams, CSK has always had a massive edge over RCB. The record even gets more ominous when CSK plays RCB in Chepauk.
CSK vs RCB Head-to-Head Record
33 matches have been played between CSK and RCB, with the former being at the forefront by winning 22 of those matches. RCB have managed to win just 11 games. But of those wins, only one win has come at the Chepauk Stadium. It came long back in 2008 when Rahul Dravid was the captain of RCB, and Virat Kohli had just joined the team from his Under-19 title win in Malaysia in 2008.
