The Lucknow Super Giants secured their first victory of the season against the favored Sunrisers Hyderabad in a commanding manner at home.

LSG was on track, needing just 60 runs in the last 10 overs. Rishabh Pant followed in Nicholas Pooran’s footsteps by hitting his first six of the IPL off Simarjeet Singh. He continued his aggressive batting, scoring another four in the same over to bring LSG closer to the target. With the asking rate already below six, Pat Cummins brought back Adam Zampa. The leg-spinner didn't disappoint, dismissing Ayush Badoni, giving the home fans a reason to cheer.

David Miller joined his captain, Rishabh Pant, on the field. At this point in the chase, LSG was well ahead. However, SRH fans had something to cheer about when Harshal Patel dismissed Rishabh Pant for the fourth time in the Indian Premier League. LSG's captain was surely disappointed, as he couldn't finish the match for his team, departing after scoring 15 runs off 15 balls.

Abdul Samad came in to bat against his former team and quickly made an impact, hitting Harshal Patel for a six and a four to close in on victory. He then targeted Adam Zampa, hitting another four and six off consecutive balls to finish the match.

With just 2 runs needed for victory, Pat Cummins gave the bowling to Ishan Kishan with David Miller at the crease. Miller seized the opportunity, finishing the match in style with a four, securing a clinical win for the Lucknow Super Giants. Despite predictions favoring SRH, LSG pulled off a commanding victory away from home.

The key to their success was the bowlers, especially Shardul Thakur, who executed his plan effectively, restricting SRH to a below-par total.

Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran played crucial roles in the batting, completing half the job in the first 10 overs to help LSG defeat SRH at Uppal Stadium.
