Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran put on a six-hitting masterclass in the power play against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad in the ongoing match seven of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Such was the assault of the duo, that the match ended in the power play itself. The Marsh-Pooran duo hit six sixes in the first six overs and gave SRH a taste of their own medicine. The LSG explosive duo's relentless attack managed to stun the Uppal crowd.
Chasing 191, LSG got off to an inauspicious start as they lost Aiden Markram for just (1) one run. However, that dismissal brought the in-form batter Pooran to the crease. The southpaw attacked from word and targeted Simarjeet Singh. The West Indian hit 17 runs off him in the second over and made his intentions very clear. He brought his second successive 50 off just 18 balls and left SRH gasping for breath.

While everyone thought SRH would make a mockery of the inexperienced LSG attack, it turned out the other way around, as Pooran made SRH's experienced bowling look pedestrian with his breathtaking 26-ball 70 knock.
LSG coasting in the run chase of 191 as SRH looks clueless
SRH have been hit hard by the Pooran storm. With already more than 100 runs scored in first 10 overs, they are firmly in the driver; seat. With eight wickets in hand, and attacking batters like David Miller, & Ayush Badoni to follow, LSG look set to win their first game by a big margin in the 2025 IPL season.
